I'm in Brooklyn and my last order (a velvet cape) took about 2 weeks to get here. It wasn't super fast but it wasn't terrible either. Came by USPS after a bit.

Yeah, I'm in upstate NY, and it was around 10-14 days for me when I got a steampunk skirt. So plan for at least a week and a half, maybe two to be safe.

Are Scarlet Darkness items actually good quality for like, a full day at a Ren Faire? Or are they more for photoshoots? Specifically looking at a renaissance dress and maybe a cape.

Totally! I've worn their stuff to ren faires multiple times. My lace-up bodice and a long skirt held up great all day, even with all the walking and dancing. They're not cheap costume quality at all.

Yeah, for the price point, the quality is really solid. I have one of their velvet capes and it's surprisingly heavy and well-made. You won't feel like you're wearing a Halloween costume, which is nice.

I haven't seen anything specifically for students when I've ordered, but they do send out a 10-12% off code if you sign up for their newsletter. That might help a bit!

Nah, I don't think they do a student thing. Your best bet is to look for a sale or that first-order discount. They have sales pretty often, especially around holidays.

Nah, pretty sure you can't stack them. Usually, those new customer codes don't combine with other sales or clearance prices. It's one or the other, sadly.

Pretty sure they say in their FAQs that you can only use one code at a time and it won't work with site-wide promotions. So if the clearance is already a promo, the other code probably won't apply.

From my experience with their corsets, they're pretty true to size if you follow their chart. Definitely measure yourself properly! I bought a Victorian gown last month and it fit perfect based on the size guide.

I think for the dresses, they're generally spot on. I got a puff sleeve blouse and it was just right, but I have heard some people say the tops can be a tiny bit snug if you're between sizes, so maybe size up for those if you're unsure?
